Third Week Onigiri Seminar at CITIR, University of Toyama – COVID-19, Smell Loss & Neuroendocrine Connection

On July 15, 2025 the Center Initiative for Training International Researchers (CITIR), under the guidance of Chief Director and Distinguished Research Professor Ishwar Singh Parhar has hold a weekly seminar “ONIGIRI SEMINAR”.

Theme:COVID-19, Smell Loss & Neuroendocrine Connection

The presentation focused on COVID-19 and how it leads to the loss of smell, along with other effects such as increased anxiety and depression, as highlighted by various studies. It explored how the virus affects both physical and mental health. The presentations were followed by a lively Q&A session.

CITIR will continuously support the development of young researchers through this seminar.
